Coming just weeks after the launch of the TomTom One IQ Routes version in the UK, TomTom has announced a LIVE enabled version of its TomTom XL Europe model. The new TomTom XL LIVE Europe as it will be known, will bring the company's LIVE services like HD Traffic to the 4.3-inch screen entry-level model previously only available on the TomTom GO x40 LIVE series.
Costing £249.99 with a further subscription of £7.99 a month (you will get the first 3 months free) TomTom claim it's the answer to "a stress-free, safe and enjoyable journey" for drivers around Europe.
The core feature of the new product, which will look like the current TomTom One XL, is the addition of TomTom HD Traffic. The technology promises to provide detailed and up-to-date real-time traffic information en route, now available for the first time abroad across the UK, Germany, France, Switzerland and the Netherlands by constantly dialling into TomTom via a built-in SIM card connection.
Other features include speed camera mapping and the ability to search for the cheapest fuel prices near you.
As expected the new model will feature all the same functionality of the TomTom IQ Routes version launched last month. Car And GPS, GPS, TomTom
