Apple's just put up a support document on its website detailing how it's possible to get electric shocks from your iPod earbuds, and how best to avoid it.

Turns out that to stop yourself getting shocks, you need to stay out of dry or windy environments, and refrain from taking the device out of your pocket, exercising with it, or wearing any synthetic fibres.

You also need to buy a portable humidifier, some anti-static spray, some hand lotion and replace your wardrobe. While you're doing that, keep an eye on your Macbook's power adaptor. We hear they're out to get you as well.
