Finnish handset manufacturer Nokia has launched three new handsets aimed at the developing world. The Nokia 2730 classic, Nokia 2720 fold and Nokia 7020 are "internet-ready", the company claims.

The Nokia 2730 classic is a 3G mobile, and at 80 euros it's the cheapest 3G handset that Nokia offers. Nokia says that there's a "steady spread of 3G data networks across the developing world", so this is a handset with the future in mind.

The Nokia 2720 fold costs less - 55 euros - but doesn't feature 3G. Instead, it's got easy email setup and will be shipping in some places with Nokia Life Tools - a collection of educational, agricultural and entertainment services for developing countries.

Lastly, the Nokia 7020 is aimed more at the "fashion" end of the market, and features a "stardust effect" when you get a call or message. It's got a 2-megapixel camera, and will cost 90 euros.

The 7020 will be shipping in Q4, and the other two ship in Q3. If you've got an aunt or uncle in a remote village in the third world, then one of these could be the perfect Christmas present.
