After months of speculation, leaks and rumours, the launch date for the Palm Pre has finally been revealed.
Palm's new smartphone - and arguably its last ditch attempt to regain market share in an area it once dominated - will launch on 6 June in the US.
The new handset, running Palm's new webOS, will be available nationwide in Sprint stores, as well as Best Buy, Radio Shack, select Wal-Mart stores and online at Sprint.com.
Pricing for the phone has been revealed at $199.99 with a 2-year service agreement on "Everything Data" plans and after a $100 mail-in rebate.
The Pre's wireless Touchstone charging kit, which includes the Touchstone charging dock and Touchstone back cover for Pre, will be available on the same date for $69.99.
Described by Sprint as "digital-age-defining", the Pre's UK launch has yet to be confirmed, although an industry source has indicated to Pocket-lint that July or August are likely launch months.
