Sony goes 8Gb with new Microvault

Sony has updated its portable Microvault storage range a new 8Gb model.

Sony has updated its portable Microvault storage range a new 8Gb model.

The new 1-inch hard disk drive is now also protected by a newly designed, highly polished, metal casing which, complete with the USB swivel connector, is able to plug straight into a computer USB port.

Called the MICROVAULT PRO to show off its extra features compared to the standard range, the device comes pre-loaded with Sony's Auto Sync file synchronisation software.

The software ensures the user to always has their most up-to-date files with them wherever they go and allows the retrieval of up to ten generations of a file stored on the MICROVAULT PRO.

The new 8GB MICROVAULT PRO will be available from February 2006 at a recommended retail price of £100.
