Following last year's launch of the S10 netbook, the first from the company, Lenovo has now announced a new and improved model in the form of the IdeaPad S10-2.
With the option of 3G connectivity, the next-gen model is thinner and lighter than the original and offers an "expressive, colourful new ring pattern design" in grey, pink, white and black.
More importantly, the S10-2 offers a 10.1-inch LED screen, will get the Intel Atom N280 processor in the UK, a 160GB hard drive, Windows XP Home and presumably 1GB RAM.
Starting at just over 2 pounds in weight and measuring less than an inch thick, features include a 90% of full size keyboard, a larger touchpad, three USB ports, a webcam, a 4-in-1 card and up to 6 hours of battery life.
With Dolby Headphone technology, Lenovo says users can wear any set of headphones to hear surround sound audio from 5.1 channels of sound.
There's also VeriFace facial recognition technology, QuickStart and Lenovo's "OneKey Rescue System". The IdeaPad S10-2 netbook will be available in July and models start at £299 plus VAT.
