Popular music game Guitar Hero could form the basis for a new reality talent TV show, it's been revealed.

Milking the franchise for all it's worth before people get fed up of pretend guitar playing on a plastic instrument, "people familiar with the discussions" say Activision aims to turn the game into TV and film properties, as well as planning a possible "real-life concert tour".

Activision Blizzard CEO Bobby Kotick wouldn't comment to Reuters on the movie speculation, but when asked about Guitar Hero's other potential, said: "It might make for a good TV show or a good concert tour".

In addition, rumours suggest Activision is currently in discussions to turn "World of Warcraft" and "Call of Duty" into movies.
