"Huge" interest in Star Trek toys reported

Toys R Us is reporting "huge customer interest" in Star Trek toys ahead of the new movie's launch and says it expects the new range of toys to be snapped up by kids and collectors alike.
In particular, the toy retailer is tipping its Star Trek Transporter Room Playset, Star Fleet Communicator and Star Fleet Phaser weapon as must-haves for fans.
The £30 Playset sees the Star Trek figures disappear and reappear with authentic sounds and lights, just like in the Transporter Room on the Enterprise.
The Star Fleet Communicator at £14.99 offers authentic character voices and sound effects from the movie, while the Star Fleet Phaser, at the same price, is an exact replica to stun or vaporise your enemies with.
