The Asus Eee PC 1008HA Seashell, the company's new slimline 10-inch netbook, is now on sale in the UK.Weighing 1.1kg and less than an inch thick at its thickest point, the netbook offers the 1.67GHz Intel Atom N280 processor and claims up to 6 hours battery life.
Offering a 10-inch LED-backlit WSVGA 1024 x 600 display, the 1008HA gets 160GB hard drive plus 10GB online Eee Storage, 802.11b/g/n wireless, Bluetooth 2.1, SRS sound and a multi-touch touchpad.
In addition, Asus is highlighting the "Super Hybrid Engine" technology that claims to monitor task loading in order to hit the best power level, apparently "offering the perfect balance between performance and energy conservation".
Available in stores from 15 May 2009, the Windows XP-equipped Eee 1008HA Seashell will cost a suggested retail price of £379. Hardware, Netbooks, Asus, Asus Eee
