Just plating something in precious metals isn't enough to grab headlines anymore evidently, as one Liverpool-based designer has taken an iPhone to the next level.

Stuart Hughes, the chap behind all the Goldstriker blinging that's been going on of late, has recreated the original body if the iPhone in solid gold.

Finished and polished by hand, the phone also gets 53 diamonds in the 22 carat Apple logo. It's on sale now for a piffling £22,995.
