Samsung today announced the release of the YP-T8Q and YPU1Q flash players in a new 2GB size enabling users to store up to 1000 WMA tracks.

Both players support MP3, WMA, WMA DRM, WAV, OGG and ASF music formats as well as offering a voice recording function and FM tuner.

The YP-T8Q also comes with USB Host allowing to easily move or copy files directly to the memory of the players.

In further detail, the YP-U1Q offers a four-line white LCD screen that displays battery life, track number, artist name and song titles and comes with a rechargeable Li-polymer battery that gives 13 hours of music playback. The device also supports drag and drop in Windows or Mac OS no need for any software to be installed.

The YP-T8Q supports video, audio and photo playback. The player comes with a 1.8-inch colour TFT LCD screen, comes in a white and silver finish and weighs only 55 grams. Battery life is 20 hours, which can be charged directly from the PC.

The YP-T8 also boasts 5 built-in full colour video games, including darts and hurdles, featuring Samsung's innovative G-Sensor technology, whereby some games are controlled by moving the device itself.

The YP-T8Q (2GB), and YP-U1Q are available now with a guide price of £189 and £119 respectively, the latter available in Dixons and Argos stores now.
