LaCie has announced a "creative" new way to access data from SD and microSD cards.

Created by the 5.5 designers firm, the LaCie Data/Share lets owners stick their cards into the device and either instantly create a USB-ready storage key, or just access the info on the cards on their computers.

Compatible with Windows, Mac, and Linux as well as with USB 1.1, the device will also work with class 1 to 6 SDHC or microSDHC cards.

Offering High-Speed USB transfer rates of up to 480Mbps, the Data/Share is on sale now for £9.90.
