If there's a finer spectacle for a spring day in the capital than the Flora London Marathon, then I don't know about it.

Yesterday, 35,000 hardy souls took their hardy soles on to the streets of London to raise millions for charity and achieve something that will look good on anybody's CV of life.

A contender for the most inspiring tale of the day surely has to be this British soldier, wounded in Iraq and told he would never walk again.

Well done each and every one of you.
