HP has announced the availability of the dv3, describing it as a "next-generation HP Pavilion entertainment notebook PC".

Following the launch of the 12-inch dv2, the dv3 offers a 13.3-inch LED widescreen display, Intel processor, advanced NVIDIA GeForce G105M dedicated video graphics and 512MB dedicated video memory.

Other features include a built-in remote control, DVD and Blu-ray drive, five-in-one card reader, SRS audio, dual headphone jacks, VGA webcam, dual digital microphones and optional WWAN.

Looks-wise, the dv3 gets a choice of two new HP "Imprint" with a glossy finish and "discreet circular pattern" of the "Espresso black" or the "subtle pattern of cool grey flowing lines" on white offered by the "Moonlight" option.

With Windows Vista Home, the HP Pavilion dv3 entertainment notebook PC will be available from May 2009 priced from £699.
