Ask.com has brought back Jeeves the butler to its online search engine service after 3 years in retirement.

The search engine has given the character a Framestore, 3D makeover stating that users of the site missed his "friendly, human touch".

Jeeves was dumped in 2006 as Ask.com thought the character made the site too "quirky", but are now going all out with the concept, even giving Jeeves his own Facebook page and Twitter account.

An Ask.com exec said: "As part of our strategy to provide a unique and differentiated search experience, we are thrilled to be welcoming Jeeves back in the UK".
