A portable DJ mixing deck that allows its users to mix MP3 tracks as if they were vinyl records has gone on sale in the UK.

The new deck, made my Hercules aims to help bedroom DJs with a computer and a MP3 collection become the next Pete Tong.

The Hercules DJ Control MP3 mixing decks connect to a standard Windows PC and allow amateur DJs to create their own mixes from digital music files in MP3, WMA and CD-Audio formats.

The DJ Control MP3 looks like a mixing deck with a dual deck system that works just like a vinyl mixing deck and allows DJs to create realistic scratch effects from digital tracks as if they were actual vinyl records.

Special effects, loops and DJ tools built into the DJ Control MP3 enable users to completely remix their favourite tracks into entirely new creations.

The unit comes with two jog wheels emulating vinyl turntables, cross fader slider and two volume sliders, eight EQ and pitch knobs and 28 action buttons.

The decks cost 79.99 and are available from Argos.
