Losing your mobile phone contacts maybe a thing of the past

BT Wholesale and Phonesync are hoping that losing your mobile phone won't mean losing all your contacts. The pair has launched a new mobile directory back-up service that allows mobile users to back-up the content of their mobile phone directory to a service provider's secure portal.

The Mobile Directory Back-up enables mobile users to set up and maintain their private directory details via the web and then to wirelessly synchronise the contents of their mobile phonebook using their handset.

The directory can be edited, amended or deleted using the mobile phone or via the web portal and does not require the installation of any proprietary software.

Phonesync are currently offer a two month free trial of the service at http://www.phonesync.com with the service costing just £1 per month thereafter.
