Google updates Toolbar

Customisation the new word for version 4

30 January 2006 12:42 GMT / By Stuart Miles

Google has updated its popular Toolbar application for the Internet Explorer browser to offer users greater customisation and enhanced features over previous versions.

The new version - version 4, allows users to create custom buttons that will allow you to visit and search your favourite websites and keep up with interesting feeds.

Alternatively right-clicking within the search box will allow you to search that site via a click of a button for future searches.

The search engine has also added a feature that allows you to create a bookmark that you can access from any computer similar to a feature already available to Firefox browser users. Bookmarks can be accessed via a Google Account.

You can also use your new Google Toolbar to share web pages via email, text message (SMS), or blog.

The new toolbar is available for Internet Explorer only.
