LG has joined Panasonic in offering televisions with built-in Freesat.

Freesat is the UK's free-to-air digital satellite TV broadcasting service offering some HD programming from the BBC and ITV as well as a plethora of shall we say, more niche channels.

The new LG LF770 range is made up of HD Ready 1080p LCD televisions with built-in Freesat, available in 32-inch, 37-inch, 42-inch and 47-inch screens.

The LF7700 gets an Ethernet port, to future-proof viewers for IPTV services, LG's Intelligent Sensor II tech that adjusts the display based on light levels, 24p Real Cinema and TruMotion 100Hz in the 42-inch and up models.

In addition, there's a dynamic contrast ratio of 50,000:1, a Mark Levinson-tuned "invisible" speaker, four HDMI ports and USB for JPEG and MP3 playback.

Looks-wise, the LF7700 offers a high gloss finish, red accents and touch buttons and will be available in the UK from April 2009.

LG won't reveal any idea of pricing, saying only that it's "retailer dependent", but it seems you're looking at around £570 for the smallest model.
