SlingMedia announces "upgrade programme"

£25 off new hardware for original Slingbox owners

8 April 2009 12:53 GMT / By Amy-Mae Elliott

Following the news that SlingPlayer iPhone app won't work with older hardware, SlingMedia has announced an upgrade programme for UK customers who own the original Slingbox.

To qualify, Slingbox customers have to input a valid serial number at http://uk.slingmedia.com/upgrade and will then get a £25 discount code for the purchase of either a Slingbox SOLO or Slingbox PRO from Amazon UK.

SlingMedia says it is "encouraging customers who own the original version of the Slingbox to upgrade... to ensure they can take advantage of next generation software and services that will only be supported when using the most current Slingbox products", such as the coming-soon iPhone app.

For more information on the Slingbox upgrade programme, visit http://uk.slingmedia.com/upgrade.
