Acer has introduced the Acer AspireRevo, the new nettop boasting advanced graphic capabilities for "full enjoyment of multimedia contents in high definition".

The first small form factor PC to offer the NVIDIA ION platform, offering 10x faster graphic performance than comparable PCs, Acer claims the diminutive desktop has "graphic capability worthy of a true multimedia PC".

Angled as an entertainment centre for the family, the Atom-powered AspireRevo can also be used as a gaming console.

It will be available in a bundle that comes with a game controller with 3D motion sensors that can be used like a mid-air mouse, a remote control or a Wiimote-like controller.

Specs include (and some are dependent on model) 802.11b/g/draft-n Wi-Fi, Ethernet, HDMI, DirectX 10, up to 4GB RAM, SSD option, Mini PCI Express slot, Windows Vista and the option to VESA mount the device.

Acer has not yet revealed pricing or availability.
