Can you guess what it is?

comScore has revealed what it states is the iPhone application with the "largest installed base among applications downloaded from the Apple App Store".

It seems that the most popular iPhone app crown goes to Tapulous' "Tap Tap Revenge" with 32% of Apple app users installing the game by February 2009.

Following the music puzzle game is Backgrounds at 27%, while the FlipSide5 game Touch Hockey: FS5 comes in with 26%.

Fourth is Facebook, then Pac-Man, with iBowl next getting 24%. MySpace Mobile trails Facebook's 26% with 23% but beats Google Earth's 22%. Rounding off the top ten are Labyrinth and Pandora.

"It's impressive that a game like Tapulous's Tap Tap Revenge can attract a higher penetration among Apple app users than apps for larger and more established brands", said a comScore exec.

"Tap Tap's success demonstrates that there is ample opportunity in the app space for any publisher to obtain significant distribution with a product that engages users".
