Yahoo has opened up its "Artist Pages", that it describes as a "revolutionary free consumer experience".

The site is said to "aggregate the best music products, services, information, and content the Web has to offer about more than 500,000 artists featured at Yahoo! Music, making it the ultimate starting point for music fans".

The site is customisable with users able to select "modules" from iTunes, Amazon.com, Last.fm, Rhapsody, Pandora, YouTube and Yahoo. Content includes tour dates, music videos, music downloads, streaming music, editorial content "and much more".

Future plans include the opportunity for users to create and self-publish their own Artist Pages.
