A US launch, Quicktate has announced the availability of "TweetCall".

The new service allows users to dial an "easy-to-remember" toll-free number, (877 Tweet-Call) to “speak their tweets”, which are then transcribed and uploaded to Twitter.

Users can visit the TweetCall.com site to register and set-up a PIN number in order to get started.

Quicktate says "at the present time, there is no cost for TweetCalling", suggesting that a charge may be introduced at some point.

Here in the UK Vodafone recently re-introduced a currently free Twitter SMS service, but has not revealed when it will begin charging.
