Belkin launch voice recorder attachment for iPod

4 March 2004 13:48 GMT / By Stuart Miles

Belkin has launched yet more add-on's for the iPod, unfortunately however they are currently only available in American. The most exciting of the bunch is a voice recorder attachment that turns your humble iPod into a voice recorder capable of taking any 3.5mm jacked microphone.

The iPod has long been sighted as the perfect tool for recording voice, yet up until now never had the technology to allow this to be the case. Just like music files, the voice memos will sync automatically to iTunes (version 4.1 required).

For playback the device features a 16mm speaker and the unit attaches to your iPod through the remote/headphone connector.

Belkin UK when questioned on a UK release date and price said that there are plans to release the unit in the UK in July but pricing was still to be confirmed.
