iTunes offers 6 seconds of silence for 79p

Somewhat amusingly Apple's iTunes is currently offering 6 seconds of silence as a music download for a rather pricey 79p.

Working out at around 13 pence per second of quiet, the track in question is John Lennon's "Nutopian International Anthem" from the 1973 Mind Games album.

If that doesn't tempt you then perhaps the fact that the silence in question is from the digitally remastered 2002 edition of the album, so will clearly be a better quality of quiet.

Spotted by Macworld, the brief track can currently be heard in full on www.we7.com for those who'd like a preview before splashing out - there's a link below.
