Nintendo DSi launches in UK

3 April 2009 10:25 GMT / By Amy-Mae Elliott

Nintendo's new and improved DSi handheld goes on sale in the UK (and Europe) today.

Similar to the previous DS Lite, the DSi is slightly thinner, a matter of grams lighter and charges slightly quicker.

As most of you will know, the main difference with the new version is the DSi will have two 3.25-inch screens (17% larger than the current model) and will get a 0.3-megapixel camera built-in.

Another big plus is that with a built-in browser, users can download games - "DSi Ware" - via an online store and save them to SD too.

The Nintendo DSi is on sale now, available in black or white, for around the £150 mark.
