LittleBigPlanet boasts nearly two million users

LittleBigPlanet for the PlayStation 3 has hit a milestone with a community of nearly 2 million players worldwide, says Sony.

This platformer allows players to build their own levels and share them via PlayStation Network, where there are currently around 725,000 user-generated levels.

Sony says many are inspired by films, TV shows and games titles, including levels themed on Jurassic Park, around MotorStorm as well as "LittleBigPlanet Takeshi's Castle", and calculator- and pinball-themed inventions.

Since launching in November 2008 the game has been played more than 125 million times with players posting more than 4 million comments on game levels.
