"Your new viewing experience"

YouTube goes upside-down

1 April 2009 9:10 GMT / By Amy-Mae Elliott

YouTube has gone upside-down for its April Fool prank with all the videos on the site's homepage having a distinctly wrong way up theme.

In addition, all of the text displayed on the site is upside down, as are the videos played.

The site suggests ways of "getting the most out of your new YouTube viewing experience" by either turning your monitor upside down, tilting your head to the side or moving to Australia.

Last year the world's biggest video site famously "rick rolled" anyone hitting a front page video, so this year's effort is perhaps not as classic, but at least it won't stick in your head for so long.
