Sky's new EPG rollout continues

1 April 2009 7:22 GMT / By Stuart Miles

Sky has announced that it will continue its phased rollout of its new electronic programming guide (EPG) this week following successful results with the first batch of Sky boxes at the beginning of March.

The new Sky+HD Guide, that adds a number of features and an easier navigation through the plethora of channels available, is expected to start appearing on HD boxes for customers who signed up to the service from the beginning.

To help ease the transition to the new user interface, the company has produced an 8 minute video tutorial via the Anytime area to inform and educate new users as to what is about to happen to their TV.

Gerry O'Sullivan, director of Strategic Product Development at Sky said: "The launch of our new on-screen guide means Sky+HD customers will now find it even easier to search, record and watch the thousands of hours of high definition programmes that only Sky+HD delivers".
