Olympus has announced the launch of the E-450 digital SLR, a Four Thirds model that will fit in between the E-420 and E-520 in the company's range.The E-450 - with a "full range of Olympus E-System technology on board" - is an easy to use 10-megapixel DSLR with a 2.7-inch Live View LCD, 28 shooting modes, ISO up to 1600 and a TruePic III+ image processor.
Designed to encourage DSLR newcomers "have fun and explore their creative potential", the E-450 gets three in-camera Art Filters and a "Perfect Shot Preview" to preview the results of settings before taking the pic.
With a dual memory slot for CompactFlash and xD-Picture Card, the E-450 will be available as body-only or with a range of ZUIKO lenses from May 2009 at around £450 for the standard lens kit. Cameras, DSLR cameras, Olympus, FourThirds, 10 megapixels
