Microsoft appears to have accidentally leaked the date that it will make the Windows 7 Release Candidate available.

A page that appeared on the download page of the company's TechNet site showed that the Windows 7 RC will be released in May 2009.

According to the page, the RC release will be available until the end of June with an expiry on 1 June 2010.

Both 32-bit and 64-bit versions will be available in English, German, Japanese, French, and Spanish.

No consumer launch details have been finalised by Microsoft, but it's thought the company's next OS could be on shelves in time for Christmas.
