Daily Tech Deal: Musicmagpie offering cash for games

Money saving deals, offers and innovations

27 March 2009 13:00 GMT / By Ben Crompton

Back in January the tech deal slot brought you news that Musicmagpie were not only going to give you cash for old CDs but DVDs too.

Now it seems they are branching out again with the recent introduction of cash for old console games.

All you have to do is type in the barcode of the relevant game/CD/DVD and they'll make you an offer.

They reckon that your old games can be worth anything up to £15.

We tried it with an old copy of the classic PS2 game "Mad Maestro" which the site deemed was worth 70p.

Not quite £15, but you'll possibly have better luck with a more recent title.

  • Great site - a few of these seem to be popping up which is great for us as the consumer - including Cex.co.uk, Speedsell.com and Tradeyourstuff.co.uk

I guess its a good feel as to finding out the value of your dvds and games and then choosing whether to sell to them or go solo!
