comScore reveals UK iPhone stats

93% of owners accessed mobile media in January

93% of iPhone users accessed mobile media in January this year, comScore has revealed.

The first such UK-specific data for iPhone users from the metrics company also shows that mobile email is used by 75% of British iPhone owners.

"Consumers are clearly embracing the iPhone's touch screen keyboard", observed Alistair Hill, analyst, comScore.

Nearly 80% of UK iPhone owners accessed news and other information which is around four times the rate for all mobile phone users, while 37% have downloaded a game.

Demographics-wise, 75% of iPhone owners are male, mostly between the ages of 18 and 44.
