Jessops has announced it will be giving away a few freebies to all those pre-ordering the just-launched Canon EOS 500D.

Early birds will receive a free 8GB Sandisk Extreme 3 memory card and a Canon DSLR bag, worth over £100.

For those of you who haven't been keeping up with the news, the new Canon EOS 500D will offer 15.1 megapixels and the ability to record in full HD 1080p video. Of course, users will be able to opt for lower resolutions of 720p or VGA for longer shoots.

Users will be able to preview their video and images on the camera's 3-inch screen, or alternatively hook it up to any compatible HDTV via the HDMI connection to watch them on your television screen instead.

To get hold of your free goodies, you can go either online or in store to pre-order. A £100 deposit is needed, with the balance payable once the camera is in stock in early May. Head over to the Jessops website for more information.
