We know that "The Beatles: Rock Band" will go on sale on 9 September 2009, but what's not known yet is full details of the game's content, including instruments to be included.

Harmonix promised "a limited number of new hardware offerings modelled after instruments used by John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr throughout their career", leading to speculation as to what might be produced for the top-of-the-range game bundle.

Now, images of instruments have begun to appear on the game's teaser site, revealing more about what Fab Four fans can expect.

The Ludwig drum set, apparently favoured by Ringo has materialised, as has the Epiphone Casino, a guitar popular with John Lennon.

No doubt more musical apparatus will emerge as we get closer to launch. There's no sitar or swarmandal yet, but we'll keep you posted.
