Long battery life for new 10-inchers

Samsung has announced the launch of two new netbooks that are due to be available next month.

Both 10.1-inch models, the N110 and the N120 offer average netbook specs - but rather tasty battery life.

The N110 is an Intel Atom-based "mini notebook" running Microsoft Windows XP Home that claims up to 9.3 hours power from a long-life 6-cell battery.

With the 6-cell battery in place, the new netbook weighs in at 1.26kg and offers a keyboard 93% of normal size.

With a Samsung "Duracase" outer, the N110 apparently boasts "haptic styling" and choice of colours.

Features include a 1.3-megapixel webcam, 3-in-1 memory card reader, three built-in USB ports and optional Bluetooth 2.0+EDR.

The N120 is similar in spec, although the claim for this netbook is up to 10.5 hours battery life.

In addition, the N120 offers a full-size 12-inch notebook style keyboard, larger touchpad and an integrated SRS 2.1 sound system, featuring 2 x 1.5 Watt stereo speakers with a dedicated sub-woofer.

Both models are due to be available in April, no pricing revealed.
