In the States, Warner Bros has opened its "film vault" to customers with a new made-to-order DVD service.

Rather than go to the expense of getting older titles, with uncertain customer demand, manufactured and distributed the studio is making the discs on demand.

Warner Bros has made 150 titles available for purchase online at www.WarnerArchive.com that can be bought as physical DVDs or downloaded.

Each month the company plans to add around 20 films and television programs from its 6800-strong archive to the service.

The company is charging $19.95 per title plus shipping, but there's no news on UK availability for the service.
