ExecTweets.com has launched - a Twitter project created by a company called Federated Media for Microsoft.

ExecTweets.com lets Twitterers "find and follow top business execs on Twitter". The site "collects" tweets from various executives and puts them in one stream.

Announced via the Twitter blog, the project could have a wider scope, Twitter says it will let you "sponsor a topic-focused social media experience with Twitter".

Twitter users will start seeing promotions for ExecTweet on the main Twitter login page, and in a little box Twitter has recently placed on profile pages.

The amount Twitter is getting to endorse and promote ExecTweets.com is unknown, but it's seen as the start of the micro blogging site's attempt to monetise its services.
