Following the discovery of product numbers supposedly signifying "multiple" new future iPhones and iPod touches in the 3.0 SDK, the rumour mill has ground out more stories about what the next-gen iPhone might feature.

Silicon Valley Insider is reporting from a "plugged-in source in the mobile industry" that the new model of iPhone, widely expected to launch in June, will offer faster internet speeds.

From the site: "Specifically, our source has heard rumors that the next iPhone will have a significantly faster Internet connection".

Whether this is 802.11n connectivity upgraded from the current 802.11g/b or - as other sources suggest - a new chip for faster 3G internet, is not known at this stage.

In addition, AppleInsider is reporting that Apple will "finally introduce video recording capabilities on at least one of its upcoming iPhone models".

The news, from an "extremely reliable" source, suggests that the next-gen iPhone's rear-facing built-in camera will offer video recording as well as higher-res stills.

We will keep you posted.
