Microsoft has announced that sales of "Halo Wars" have reached more than one million units worldwide.

This million milestone makes the Xbox-exclusive title the best selling real-time strategy game on any current generation console.

For those of you that don't know, Halo Wars is the prequel strategy game that sees players controlling the UNSC and Covenant armies.

Microsoft says the explosive battles in Halo Wars are "just beginning" as it reveals that more Halo Wars content is currently being prepared by Robot Entertainment.
