comScore has revealed that the total UK online video viewing audience has grown 10% in the past year to 29.6 million unique viewers over the age of 15.

The stats, from the company's January 2009 "Video Metrix" service data, show that Google is the UK's most popular online video property with 23.7 million viewers, thanks to the popularity of YouTube.com.

YouTube, the UK version of which is currently embroiled in a row over music rights, accounted for 99% of all videos viewed on Google.

BBC sites came second with 6.8 million viewers, followed by Microsoft sites, Facebook.com and then Yahoo.
