AgfaPhoto launches "first true HD" digital photo frame

13-inch frame boasts "great multimedia features"

13 March 2009 14:20 GMT / By Verity Burns

AgfaPhoto has announced what it is claiming to be the first true hi-definition digital photo frame.

The 13-inch HD frame is being launched alongside a 10-inch crystal imaging" photo frame, both promising high quality digital playback of both still photos and video.

This means home movies, or even films downloaded to a memory card, can be played through the frame, along with your favourite MP3 tracks as well.

With only 256MB internal memory, the frames are certainly lacking in this department compared to some of their competitors, but a memory card reader is of course included to help you expand this.

Each frame boasts an ultra-slim design at just 2.2cm thick, interchangeable coloured frames and a remote control. There is also calendar and alarm clock functionality as well.

Pricing and availability to be confirmed - we'll keep you posted.
