Twitter has owned up to another hack attack on the fast-growing micro-blogging service.

Around 750 Twitter accounts have been "broken into" in this latest round of security scares for the service.

In a blog post the company says: "We discovered about 750 Twitter accounts were broken into and had a link to a webcam site posted on the accounts".

"We reset the passwords of the compromised accounts and removed the spammy updates. Our safety team is currently investigating the attack".

The Twitter team has issued a "general reminder" that "strong passwords can help prevent hijacked accounts".

Back in January Twitter suffered from around 33 celebrity account hijacks as well as a security scam that saw fake pages set up in order to try and steal passwords and personal info.
