SanDisk will launch a 32GB microSDHC card this year, Pocket-lint has learnt. The news means media fans will be able to store twice as much as with SanDisk's current offerings.
microSD is roadmapped up to 32GB, so this will be the last update for the standard before consumers are asked to adopt the "SD eXtended Capacity" cards that will go up to a whopping 2TB of storage.
Apparently tested by a forum member - who got to see a prototype in August last year - the card is said to be due in the first half of this year.
SanDisk launched its 16GB microSDHC memory card in September last year for around £45.
As well as in phones, microSDHC cards are also used in video cameras, GPS receivers, MP3 players and the like.
Thanks to L.Rawlins for the tip and we will keep you posted. Hardware, Storage, SanDisk, Memory cards, Rumours
