PMA 2009: We get hands on with those sexy dials

5 March 2009 12:00 GMT / By Chris Hall
When we first laid eyes on the Samsung TL320, they nearly popped out of our collective gadgety heads. So we were pleased as punch to get our hands on it at PMA in Las Vegas, where we grabbed some cheeky shots of the new model flashing her dials from all angles.
The TL320 is a 12-megapixel compact, with 24mm ultra-wide angle Schneider lens and 5x optical zoom. It features a 3-inch AMOLED screen with HVGA resolution, which consumes less power than an ordinary LCD and offers a contrast ratio of 10,000:1, so should enhance both the battery life and make previewing your shots easier.
You get the normal Samsung technology to enhance your shooting, plus you can capture video at 720p in H.264 and HDMI connectivity through a cradle.
Other specs include optical and digital image stabilisation, aperture priority, shutter priority and full manual shooting as well as Samsung's "Advanced Picture" mode for colour temperature adjustments in addition to smart auto mode for easy shooting.
Sadly the retro dials only give an approximation of levels, which is a shame. Available in black or silver, the TL320 will be available in the States in May for $379.99.
We can't wait to get our hands on one for a full review.
