PMA 2009: Hands on with the 37-megapixel DSLR

5 March 2009 14:00 GMT / By Chris Hall
Announced back in September 2008, we've managed to track down the monster DSLR and grab a few snaps.
Why should you be excited? Well under that shell Leica has packed in a whopping 37-megapixel sensor, so essentially combines "the quality of medium format and the handling and flexibility of 35mm".
Claiming to be "the best professional camera system in the world". Leica seems to be super confident this model will deliver and has thrown down the gauntlet to Hasselblad, declaring that the S2 is "twice as fast as Hasselblad H-series cameras".
the downside is, however that it feels like it was a solid hunk of steel meaning we had to get someone else to hold it for us.
