O2 has confirmed that it isn't ruling out stocking Nokia's new flagship handset, the N97, when it launches later this year, even though the handset will come with Skype pre-installed.

"We have to make sure the experience is right, however we haven't ruled out stocking the N97", O2's UK PR manager told Pocket-lint.

Earlier in the week phone website, Mobile Today reported that a "rift" had emerged between Nokia and operators over the Skype plans with O2 and Orange said to have "responded furiously" to the announcement.
