The winners of the global YouTube Symphony Orchestra contest have been decided and announced.

The video site's project to create the world's first online collaborative orchestra has seen over 90 talented musicians selected to be part of the YouTube Symphony Orchestra.

Together, the musicians, both professional and amateur, play 26 different instruments and come from over 30 countries and territories on six continents.

The selected musicians will travel from around the world to New York City to participate in a collaborative summit for classical music in April, ending in a concert at Carnegie Hall.

Videos of the winners can be seen now on the Symphony Orchestra's YouTube channel.
