Sony has expanded its Blu-ray line up in the States with two new Blu-ray players that are so far US-only launches.
The BDP-S360 and BDP-S560 standalone players deliver full HD 1080/60p and 24p True Cinema output and, we're glad to see, are both BD-Live capable.
The BDP-S560 is particularly of interest as its offers built-in Wi-Fi wireless network capabilities for BD-Live functionality and firmware upgrades, as well as being Digital Living Network Alliance ready.
The BDP-S360 and BDP-S560 both upscale, play CDs and support 7.1 channel Dolby TrueHD and Dolby Digital Plus, DTS-HD High Resolution Audio, and DTS-HD Master Audio decoding as well as bit-stream output via HDMI.
The models also get an external port for USB flash storage devices to support those online extras as well as play certain content from the drives.
Due out in the States this summer, Sony says the BDP-S360 and BDP-S560 will retail for about $300 and $350, respectively. No word on a UK launch.
